FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is a hair mask?
The name actually says it all. With a hair mask you apply a layer (mask) over your hair. This makes your hair smoother and gives it more shine. It also protects your hair against external influences such as the weather and heat appliances.
What is the difference between a hair mask and conditioner?
The biggest difference between the two is the texture. A hair mask is often much creamier and thicker than conditioner because it is more concentrated (less water). A hair mask also has a higher pH value than the conditioner, so it should be used before the conditioner. The conditioner has a lower pH value, which causes the hair cuticles to close.
Which routine is best to use?
Always start with the shampoo. This cleans the hair, opens the hair cuticles and prepares them to absorb nutrients. Then use the hair mask. This is full of nutrients and gives the hair extra shine, softness and strength. Then use the conditioner to close the hair cuticles again so that the nutrients can continue to work in your hair.
Does a hair mask make my hair heavy?
No, that is not the case. Maria Nila’s hare masks do not weigh down the hair.
